Kiyan Anthony, son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, is announcing that he has committed to play college basketball for Syracuse University.
Though highly recruited by several schools, including USC, Kiyan Anthony finally chose the same university his father attended and graduated from – Syracuse.
What may have changed his decision?
Kiyan emphasized his close relationships with the coaching staff of Syracuse. Kiyan said they were always welcoming and valued him, and he wants to do that himself and make a mark on his own. His father’s legacy at Syracuse is great, but Kiyan still wants to cut out his own way so that he could contribute to the success of the team.
Kiyan is one of the top-ranked basketball players for high school. He was one of the top players at his skill level in the entire country. His choice to commit to Syracuse will help make the program better. Fans are thrilled with what he could eventually accomplish on the floor.
