January 2024 – The National Basketball Association (NBA) has declared the Golden State Warriors versus Utah Jazz scheduled for today as postponed. This is so, after the shocking demise of Warriors Associate Coach Dejan Milojevic.
In a message of sympathy, Adam Silver the NBA Commissioner stated that they were saddened by the event and went ahead to release a statement that highlighted the relevant input conducted by Milojevic in the basketball world. It is remembered that he was very instrumental in the triumph of the Warriors in the 2022 NBA finals and had rich playing as well as coaching history in Serbia.
The rescheduled date for the Warriors vs. Jazz game will be disclosed at a later date, which allows both teams and the basketball community to mourn and pay respect to coach Milojević.
In this time of sadness and sorrow, the NBA family offers sincere sympathies to the players’ relatives, including his wife Natasa, their children Nikola and Masa, and to the Warriors franchise as well.
Golden State Warriors And Utah Jazz
In an adrenaline pumping offensive and defensive exhibition, the Golden State Warriors snaked past the Utah Jazz with a 140-137 victory at the Vivint Smart Home Arena on February 16th. Both teams put up impressive displays with the Warriors employing a well-balanced attack with scoring while the Jazz featured a rampant De’Anthony Melton basketing everything in sight.
Warriors Start Strong, Jazz Respond
In the first half of the match, the Warriors took an early advantage, as Stephen Curry connected from deep and Andrew Wiggins was able to drive and finish even through contacts. Draymond Green took charge of the running of the offense by creating shots for his teammates and also exerting pressure on defense. But the Jazz were not ready to simply accept defeat. Rookie De’Anthony Melton launched and made shots from deep keeping the scoreboard close enough for his team.
