In a philanthropic slam dunk, the NBA has teamed up with two of the most respected Indiana-based charities: Special Olympics Indiana and Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis, in partnership with the 2024 NBA All-Star Game. This will raise much-needed funds and provide support for both organizations as they add a compassionate touch to the highly anticipated basketball spectacle.
Charity Association and Funding:
- The Eastern Conference All-Stars will be champions for Special Olympics Indiana, an organization dedicated to delivering sports training and competitions all through the year for those who have intellectual disabilities. However, apart from the fun of sports, it empowers the participant to live in an inclusive and confident environment.
- This would be behind the institution called Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis that is making its way into the nurturing process of youth to succeed and grow in their different potential. This organization is for promoting academic success, sports and recreation, arts, education, health and wellness, and career development among youth with inspiration and enabling them toward their full potential.
- All will start the All-Star game with a base $100,000 but win it and the charity behind that team will also enjoy $240,000 to help them in their meaningful cause. The competitive spirits of the game then easily out the court and into significant ways to support these meaningful causes.
NBA Cares State Farm Assist Tracker Programme :
Good work, philanthropy, well beyond just the game; to be part of the donation for on-court assists created by NBA Cares, State Farm Assist Tracker which will have $1,900 made for each; this sum will be contributed equally by Special Olympics Indiana as well as Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis.
