Philadelphia 76ers center Andre Drummond suffered a sprain of the right ankle while playing against the Detroit Pistons Wednesday. It happened early in the first quarter and took him off the court.
The Sixers already miss Joel Embiid, but now they will have to dig deeper to fill the hole left behind by Drummond. This means that rookie Adem Bona will have to take up more frontcourt responsibilities for the team.

Although the full extent of Drummond’s injury is still unknown, the Sixers do seem positive that he would return to his place soon. Nonetheless, he does need some rest and proper recovery. And if so, he might end up resting games ahead.
