The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t have a pick in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft on Wednesday, but they didn’t want to miss out on adding young talent.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Lakers made a move on Thursday by trading their No. 55 pick and cash to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for the No. 45 pick in the second round.
This gives the Lakers a better chance to draft a promising player earlier in the second round as they look to strengthen their roster for the future.
